casting off

Post by ann »

hi
just trying a new way to cast off for shoulders for back of garments cast off as usual on the first 2 rows the next row slip the first stitch don't knit it then pass it over the 2nd stitch hard to explain but its much neater and dosn't leave a big stitch or hole. hope this makes sense.

Makes sense to me, but only because I have a book (quite old) on knitting tips and this really makes for a smoother line on the shoulder.

Definitely makes sense. Must try it as I hate those holes, especially in baby clothes - thanks
