Sirdar Scarf Yarn - NOW ONLINE

Post by admin »

Sirdar are bringing out a yarn specially for scarves - it even has a scarf pattern on the inside which uses 8mm needles. Sirdar Snowball

But we know you can use it for lots of other things too - we had something similar last year and it sold out almost as soon as we got it in. We have seen lots of items made from this type of yarn including blankets, cushion covers, lots of bags, trimmings to kids hats, ponchos, fringing, waistcoats and decorative panels in garments. If you can think of anything else to use it for please post here.

The yarn we had last year was a limited edition yarn called Big Ball Funny and this new Sirdar yarn is also a limited edition - but we are buying a bit more of it this time so it should not run out so quickly

We think the quality of this Sirdar yarn is much better than many of the other similar yarns out there and it is retailing at just £8.99 per 200g ball. The pompoms seem to be a bit longer and fuller so give a much more luxurious feel. There are 3 multi colours and 9 plain colours including Black, White, Red, Blue, Cream and some lovely pinks.

One ball makes a really luxuriously soft and very long scarf - we saw it today and couldn't resist. Peter has now got to make lots of room so will be very busy for a while.

We think this type of yarn really feeds the imagination and it is due at the beginning of September - we really look forward to seeing pics of where your imagination takes you......

Most of the colours came in today. Carole will put them online this weekend so keep an eye on here for up to the minute news.

I have had a feel and can confirm it feels so soft and the sausage bits (don't know what else to call them) look very plump.

Last 3 colours now in stock

White, Bunny-tail (Cream) and Hot Pink

We have also put a picture of the scarf online too.

The Leopard colour is really nice - we have put some extra pictures on to show the 3 multi colours properly.

We would love to hear about any other uses you can think of for these and look forward to seeing some pictures. If you need pictures hosting then that facility is available on request to regular members.
