Yarn Pages

We have had one or two customers who have clicked the wrong colour on pages that have 2 columns of colours.

The colour is always noted in the shopping basket to check. You can remove any 'wrong' yarn by changing the number of balls in the basket to zero and hitting the RECALCULATE button near the bottom of the page. The colour is also noted in the email receipt which you should check and let us know if anything is wrong.

However we are always open to suggestions so we have set up a test page with various options on how we can change the pages.

Please vote for your favourite or to keep as existing. If there are any other options please reply to this thread and I will consider adding it as an option.

Click HERE [LINK REMOVED AS POLL CLOSED] to view (new window) and then come back and vote.

Well this is neck and neck - more votes please :?

You need to be a forum member to vote and you should only be able to vote once.

I do have a guest login you can use if you REALLY don't want to become a member - email me for the password (which changes regularly).

Better still - register - it's free and anonymous - no-one can see your email unless you want it to be seen. You can even read the board without anyone seeing you are online. If you need any tips on how to do all this please let me know

Can anyone tell me why type 4 is better than existing?

We only put it in as someone suggested it a couple of years ago but couldn't work out why it was better. It is the same as the existing but just mirrored - we think customers would have the same problem of not being about to see at a glance which colour is which.

If anyone can give us a reason why it is better we would be very grateful.

Although changing all the pages will be a lot of work I am quite prepared to do this if it means there will be less confused customers

Please keep voting or email me for the guest login password if you are not a registered forum member.

it seems clearer to me. Maybe its because the add 1 comes after the colour. I don't really know why, I just feel like it's better than the existing one.
