hi! just resumed knitting and learning to crochet too!

hi everyone, i've just returned to knitting after more than 20 yrs and delighted to find it is a bit like riding a bike, once mastered, never forgotten!
my mum adores knitting and we're both keen to get going...i'm currently knitting a scarf, garter stitch, though i have mastered purl this weekend, i could only ever do garter before and have also mastered stocking stitch too under my mum's more experienced eye
i wanted a different hobby to get me off the pc but i will pop onto the forum time to time and check updates!

crochet is something i have NEVER tried before, just masterign the basics for now!

Sorry to see you have had no replies yet to your first post. I guess we are all busy knitting for Christmas!

It sounds like you are quickly getting back into knitting. Good for you.
Have you tried the eyelash/fur type yarn for a scarf it gives a really good effect and you can use garter stitch with it.
