Alan Darts Ada the Hispaniolan solenodon - Haiti Appeal

Alan Dart has designed a pattern to help raise funds to aid the victims of the Haitian earthquake 2010.

You can download Ada the Hispaniolan solenodon from his website - www.alandart.co.uk - click the products page link on his site and then the picture of Ada.

All Alan asks is that you make a donation for the pattern, and/or only knit the toy to sell with the money raised being donated to the Haitian Fund.

In the UK you can donate online by going to the Disasters Emergency Committee's Website at www.dec.org.uk or you can make a donation to a similar organisation in your own country if outside the UK.

We have heard from Alan that this pattern has been downloaded over 2000 times already. Hopefully all those people have donated to the Appeal and will be knitting Ada for the charity.

We have also heard from quite a few customers who have said they WILL be knitting Ada for the Appeal and have also decided to knit some other toys too to raffle or sell.

Please keep up the good work. Every little helps and Haiti will need help for a long time to come.

We are keeping count of all orders for the Ada yarns - even if they are part of a bigger order. If you want to be sure we don't miss our donation for your Ada yarn order then please feel free to put a note in the Message Box stating that you will be knitting Ada for charity.
