Tweed Yarn

Please can any one recommend a nice tweedy yarn as apposed to stripy.It must be firm but also fairly soft to handle.Maybe a double knit or even 4 ply.Not too nubbly a texture as my hands are still sensitive from an earlier accident.And if it,s not too much to ask,a high percentage of wool without having to take out a 2nd mortgage!!

Have you looked at the Sirdar Denim Tweed on this site. Not a high percentage of wool in the mix but a reliable brand.
